SchoolProtect User Guide

By default, filtering policies will be applied to IP addresses, so the initial filtering in all establishments will be IP-based. You can add as many IP subnets as required to a policy group. Only IP addresses supplied by your service provider can be added to a policy group.

In the example above three different IP ranges are defined for one policy group.

This button will make the following pop-up appear.

Once a range and description have been defined, the subnets that will be added to SchoolProtect will be visible. If a single IP (/32 subnet) is added to a filtering policy, anything surfing on this IP address will not receive an option to log in on a block page, if USO filtering is set up. The page will warn you if this is the case, by highlighting the subnet red and displaying a message.
